Mežaparks Great Bandstand
Mežaparks Great Bandstand is a cultural and historical, multifunctional event venue located in the green surroundings of Mežaparks in Riga, offering a wide range of possibilities for cultural, business, corporate and private events.
The complex features an open-air stage, concert hall, exhibition hall, pavilion, as well as several conference and seminar rooms. Its diverse infrastructure makes it suitable for everything from seminars and business events to exhibitions, celebrations, concerts and large-scale public events.
Mežaparks Great Bandstand is one of Latvia’s most significant cultural landmarks and a venue for the Latvian Song and Dance Festival.
The five-storey Mežaparks Great Bandstand building offers event spaces of various sizes:
- an acoustic concert hall with 500 seats and a spacious backstage area with modern dressing rooms;
- an exhibition hall;
- three seminar and conference rooms for 50–240 guests;
- a pavilion for seminars and social events.
Up to 100 free parking spaces are available for event participants.

Brothers Kokari Hall
771 m2Kokari Hall is a 771 m² acoustic concert hall suitable for concerts, conferences, congresses, performances and other events. The hall can accommodate up to 450 seated guests, with the seating arrangement adaptable to the event format.
- The acoustic wall provides excellent sound quality for choirs and other acoustic concerts.
- Sound recording equipment, a motorised projection screen and automatic blackout curtains are available.
- An opening wall allows the hall to be connected to the adjacent Exhibition Hall, creating additional space for larger events.
- A stage can be built as required.
- The balcony can accommodate additional seating, standing guests or banquet tables.
The concert hall is located on the 1st floor.
Exhibition Hall
542 m2Every day, the Exhibition Hall showcases a variety of exhibitions featuring works by both professional and amateur artists — including paintings, photographs, applied arts, and themed collections. Exhibitions typically change every month.
Walls of the hall are fitted with a suspension system for exhibiting drawings, paintings, photographs, and other flat objects. A special lighting system is used to illuminate art pieces.
The premises are also suitable for holding press conferences and banquets, as well as house larger mass events when merged with the Kokaru Hall.
The Exhibition Hall is located on the 1st floor.
Conference room
324 m2The Mezaparks Grand Bandstand features several seminar/conference rooms capable of accommodating up to 440 visitors at a time.
Up to 150 theatre chairs can be fitted in this conference room.

Pavilion
180 m2The 180 m² Mežaparks Great Bandstand Pavilion is a bright event space with glass walls overlooking the surrounding pine trees. The Pavilion is suitable for small concerts, exhibitions, receptions and other events.
- The glass walls provide plenty of natural light and create a close connection with the surrounding nature.
- The Pavilion features models of previous Song Festival stages, beginning with the first one from 1873.
- The room layout can be adapted to different event formats.
- The Pavilion is located behind the Mežaparks Great Bandstand building.
Mežaparks Great Bandstand
43940 m2Mežaparks Great Bandstand is one of the largest open-air event venues in Latvia, suitable for concerts, festivals, cultural, corporate and other large-scale events.
- Audience area – 22,000 m².
- Movable seating for up to 30,557 spectators.
- Standing capacity of up to 50,000 visitors.
- Choir stands can accommodate up to 16,000 singers.
- The extensive grounds and infrastructure allow the venue to be adapted to a variety of large-scale event formats.
The Green theatre
13989 m2The Green Theatre was built in 1949. In the summer of the same year, the ceremonial opening of “Mežapark” took place here. A small stage was also built, which has not survived to this day. Celebrations, rallies, theater performances, and sports competitions have taken place here. This tradition is also continued today, and the Green Theatre is perfect for hosting various types of outdoor concerts, festivals, celebrations, theater performances, sports activities, corporate and other events.
The Green Theatre is located in the central part of Mežaparks park territory, 10 10-minute walk from the Mežaparks Grand Bandstand.
